The Inland Valley Symphony presents CLASSICS:  Romeo & Juliet

Saturday, February 18th, 2:30 pm at the Gershwin Performing Arts Center (Murrieta Mesa High School in Murrieta), featuring an all-classical program conducted by Maestro Anthony Parnther.

The symphony will perform Tchaikovsky’s famous Overture to “Romeo & Juliet.”  Award-winning pianist Ryan MacEvoy McCullough is flying in from Toronto,

Canada, where he is currently studying at the Royal Conservatory of Music.  Ryan will be featured on Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 1, followed by a special guest appearance by oboe soloist

Meg Cassell, who will perform the Concerto for Oboe by Strauss.  Concert tickets are $20 (adults), $15 (seniors, military & students age 18 and under), and $8 (children age 12 and under).

Ryan will make a second appearance one week later, on Sunday, February 26th, 2:30 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church in Temecula, as the symphony presents his exclusive piano recital A BEETHOVEN TRILOGY.  Enamored by Beethoven’s famous piano sonatas, he has selected the mysterious final three to perform at this intimate musical event.  Tickets are $25 for all adults and $15 for children and students under the age of 18.  Maestro Anthony Parnther will make a guest appearance playing bassoon.  A reception will follow the performance.

Tickets for the Feb. 18th concert and the Feb. 26th recital may be purchased online at www.InlandValleySymphony.org.  This season the symphony’s concert attendance has skyrocketed so advance ticket purchases are highly recommended.  Please call 760-318-0460 for more information.

According to Alana Joos, President of the Inland Valley Symphony… “Our audience members continue to request Ryan MacEvoy McCullough each year as one of our guest artists so we are delighted to have him return again to perform with the Symphony.  We are also very excited to offer Ryan’s recital to piano music lovers and look forward to a great turn-out for both programs!  Meg Cassell is a stellar oboist who is also returning for her second concert with IVS.”

The concert venue, Gershwin Performing Arts Center, is located at the new Murrieta Mesa High School at 24801 Monroe Ave., Murrieta, CA.  Trinity Lutheran Church is located at 30470 Pauba Rd. in Temecula.
