The Ladles of Love Warehouse Lunch Will Be Held on February 12, 2020 in Riverside, CA
Riverside, CA – This year, Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino’s (FARSB) 5th Annual Ladles of Love luncheon will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at the FARSB Distribution Center, 2950-B Jefferson St. Riverside, CA 92504.
FARSB will host the free soup-line style luncheon during Valentine’s week to highlight the need for the community to “open their hearts” to supporting their regional food bank’s efforts.
The annual event entitled, Ladles of Love, will feature guest speaker, Nathan Westwick of Wild Goose Coffee Roasters from Redlands, CA. From its onset, the mission of Wild Goose Coffee Roasters was to use coffee as a vehicle for giving back—both at the farm level through its fair-trade purchasing practices, as well as in the local community, where Wild Goose donates 10 pounds of food to local food banks for every pound of coffee sold.
“Through Wild Goose Coffee Roasters and their strong philanthropic mission, Nathan has helped to provide over 100,000 meals to children, families, seniors, Veterans, and many more in this community,” said Stephanie Otero, FARSB CEO.
Interested companies, community members and organizations can reserve seats and tables for this free event by registering online at https://www.feedingamericaie.org/ladlesoflove or by texting LADLES2020 to 41444.
“It’s not often that we open our doors to those in our community to experience an open-house style lunch-and-learn program like we do for Ladles of Love, so this truly is a unique experience to get to know our staff and our food bank on a much more personal level” said Stephanie Otero, FARSB CEO.
Although the event is free, individuals at the event will be challenged to open their hearts to those in need by making a small gift. Every $1 donated will help to provide up to 9 meals.
Those not able to attend, but still interested in donating can visit FeedingIE.org/ladlesoflove to make a gift.
Ladles of Love is anticipating serving over 200 approximate guests with a delicious soup and bread combination donated by Norms Restaurants, a long-time supporter of FARSB.
Ladles of Love 2020 is sponsored by Advanco Fire Protection, Inc, Hodgdon Group, Armstrong & Aceves, Inc., GPA Doors and Windows, Southern California Fleet Services, Inc., Norms Restaurants, SingerLewak, AF Group, and more.

About Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino
Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino (FARSB) is leading the fight against hunger in the Inland Empire by providing food access, emergency relief, education, and advocacy to families in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. FARSB opened in 1980 as Survive Food Bank in response to the increasing concern about the dual problems of hunger and food waste in the Inland Empire. Today, FARSB is the primary source of food for over 200 local nonprofit organizations, distributing over 2 million pounds of food monthly to emergency food pantries, homeless shelters, soup kitchens, high-need elementary schools, halfway houses, senior centers, residential treatment centers, shelters for the abused, after school programs and group homes. With the help of these charity partners, we make up the largest hunger relief organization in the Inland Empire, making food security a reality for over 1.2 million people every year.
