Toy Drive to Benefit Needy Families in the Inland Empire Announced

Citizens Business Bank Arena has joined forces with AM590 The Answer, Ontario Reign, Ontario Fury, Levy Restaurants and the California Highway Patrol to make a difference for children this holiday season. 

ONTARIO, California (Monday, December2, 2013)  Wednesday, December 18, 2013 from 10am to 7pm the north east parking lot of Citizens Business Bank Arena will be a buzz with family fun activities. The community is invited to participate in a day of giving by providing donations of a new unwrapped toy or sporting goods item to the Chips 4 Kids Toy Drive.  The California Highway Patrol has collected and distributed toys to needy families for 25 years and this holiday season we hope to break all records with a toy drive to benefit the children of the Inland Empire.  Citizens Business Bank Arena is proud to join forces with 590AM The Answer Radio, Ontario Reign, Ontario Fury, and Levy Restaurants to create a way to bring joy to others.  Several activities are planned with AM590 The Answer radio broadcasting live, Ontario Reign and Ontario Fury selected players, dance teams and mascots on site, law enforcement static displays and CHP officers on site, and even an appearance by Santa.

“We hope the public will stop by for lunch and be a part of helping others this holiday season” said Steve Eckerson, General Manager of Citizens Business Bank Arena.  “For every donation we will provide a ticket voucher for an Ontario Reign or Ontario Fury game as our appreciation of supporting such a worthwhile cause.”

Citizens Business Bank Arena, built and owned by the City of Ontario, operated by AEG Facilities,  includes 9,500 fixed seats with additional “portable” seating risers to accommodate capacities of 11,089 for concerts, 9,736 for ice hockey or arena football and 10,832 for basketball. The 225,000 square foot venue features 36 luxury suites located on two levels and a continuous concourse hosting a variety of refreshment stands, merchandise kiosks, a VIP club and other fan amenities. Citizens Business Bank Arena hosts ice hockey, arena football, and a variety of other sporting competitions, concerts, family shows, special events, conventions, school and community activities as well as private events.  The Arena is home to Ontario Reign, a ECHL Premier AA Hockey Team and Ontario Fury, a PSAL Soccer Team.  Citizens Business Bank Arena is the biggest and most modern arena within the Inland Empire, an area with over 4.1 million people.
