Riverside Community College District Board President Elected To California Community College Trustee Board Of Directors

Riverside, CA – Tracey Vackar, president, Riverside Community College District Board of Trustees, was elected to the Community College League of California’s California Community College Trustee (CCCT) board of directors. The CCCT board consists of 21 members representing more than 400 California community college trustees and 72 community college districts.

“I look forward to representing RCCD and advancing the CCCT initiatives such as Guided Pathways, strong workforce, closing the achievement gap and supporting programs that increase student equity and success,” Vackar said.

Vackar was re-elected to RCCD Board of Trustees in November 2018. She is an educator and administrator in secondary and post-secondary adult education. Vackar supports system alignment for early college access/credit, curriculum design, systems for student success, data systems on performance outcomes and advocates for improved student support systems. She also serves as the regional chair for the Association of California Schools Administrators (ACSA) Career Technical Education.

She is the executive director for College, Careers and Economic Development in the Fontana Unified School District. Prior to being elected to the RCCD Board, Vackar served 22 years as a trustee for the Moreno Valley Unified School District Board of Education.

CCCT is an organization of the nonprofit Community College League of California and takes positions on issues before the State Board of Governors and the legislature. Policy direction is also provided to staff and trustees concerning statewide educational policy, research initiatives, publications, workshops and conferences.
