Trains of the Colorado Rockies

The San Bernardino County Museum Association is planning a special trip that celebrates “Trains of the Colorado Rockies” on August 6 through 14, 2011. A tour information presentation is scheduled for Thursday, November 4, 2010 at the San Bernardino County Museum in Redlands. The presentation is free but guests are asked to make advance reservations; call LaWanda Avery-Brown, the Museum Association’s director of support services, at (909) 307-2669 ext. 225.

The 8-day trip will explore the Rockies by train, visiting Denver, Rocky Mountain National Park, Grand Junction, Colorado National Monument, Durango, Mesa Verde National Park, Colorado Springs, and Garden of the Gods. Participants will ride the Georgetown Loop Railroad, the Durango and Silverton Railroad, the Royal Gorge Railroad, and the Pike’s Peak Cog Railway. Rates are available for single, double, and triple accommodations and include round trip air from Ontario International Airport.

The San Bernardino County Museum is at the California Street exit from Interstate 10 in Redlands.
