Trip, “Birds of the Mojave Desert”

Join Museum Director Robert McKernan to explore the avian fauna of the Mojave Desert in a field trip, “Birds of the Mojave Desert,” on Saturday, April 2, 2011. This trip will depart from the Victor Valley Museum in Apple Valley. Space is limited; the registration deadline is Monday, March 28, 2011.

McKernan will lead the group in searching for resident birds and spring migrants in high desert haunts.

Participants in the field trip will depart from the Victor Valley Museum at 7:30am. Travel will be by car-pool; bring lunch, water, wear sturdy, comfortable shoes, a hat, and a jacket. McKernan recommends bringing along a field guide to birds and a pair of binoculars.
