Fontana, Calif. – The City of Fontana will hold a General Municipal Election on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, for the election of two members of the City Council each of which will serve a full four-year term.

The nomination period opens on Monday, July 18, 2016 and closes at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2016. Those interested in seeking to run for a City Council seat are encouraged to pick up a nomination packet at the City Clerk’s office located inside Fontana City Hall, 8353 Sierra Avenue, Monday-Thursday between 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.

“I encourage all registered voters to vote on Election Day,” said Fontana City Clerk Tonia Lewis.”This is your opportunity to let your voices be heard and make unbiased and wise choices.”

On election day, Tuesday, November 8, 2016, the polls will be open between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
