Mission

To teach our students to be effective legal professionals who use their skills and talents for the benefit of their communities, to imbue these students with pride in the legal profession, and to promote diversity within the law school community, accomplished by providing full-time and part-time law programs with high academic standards.

The University of La Verne College of Law is located in Ontario, California, a region in Inland Southern California consisting of San Bernardino and Riverside counties. This is one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the United States.

Accreditation

The American Bar Association granted provisional accreditation to the University of La Verne College of Law on February 13, 2006, making it the only ABA-accredited law school in Inland Southern California.

Provisional approval precedes full ABA approval. It is the policy of the ABA that students enrolled in a provisionally-approved school are entitled to all the rights and privileges to which students at fully approved schools are entitled. A law school must remain in provisional status for a minimum of two years before becoming eligible for consideration for full approval.

The University of La Verne is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Among the other memberships maintained by the University are those in the American Council on Education, Association of Independent California Colleges and Universities, and Independent Colleges of Southern California.
