Upland, Foothill Knolls STEM Academy of Innovation to Receive $10,000

A Check for $10,000 from Burlington Stores will be presented on Sept. 6 at the Upland school

Upland, Ca – Burlington Stores Inc., through its partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, is donating $10,000 to the Foothill Knolls STEM Academy of Innovation in celebration of its new store in Upland.

Representatives from Burlington Stores will present the check to Foothill Knolls Principal Jennifer Morris during assemblies that will take place on Sept. 6 at the school, 1245 Veterans Court.

A representative from AdoptAClassroom.org contacted school administrators and helped to secure the donation for Foothill Knolls, which will provide approximately $364 in new supplies for each teacher’s classroom.

According to Morris, the teachers will use the funds on a number of new classroom items such as books for enrichment and materials to support our project-based learning model.

“On behalf of the Foothill Knolls, I would like to thank Burlington and AdoptAClassroom.org for adopting our entire school,” said Morris. “Our teachers look forward to using the funds to enhance learning in our school and in their classrooms. We are thankful for the support we received from Burlington and AdoptAClassroom.org.”

Burlington, in partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, makes a donation to a local school in each Grand Opening market to celebrate a new store location. The Burlington store will open at Upland Village Center, 121 E. Foothill Blvd.
