(SAN BERNARDINO, Calif.) On Friday, April 22, 2011 at 3:00 p.m., Shareece Wright, former University of Southern California starting cornerback on their last year’s football team, will visit the Boys & Girls Club of San Bernardino. Wright could end up being the first Trojan drafted in the upcoming NFL draft.
In 2010 Wright took full advantage of his opportunity and played in all 13 games, ranking third on the Trojans with 73 tackles. That was pretty impressive for a cornerback. He also added seven tackles-for-loss and recorded 2.5 sacks. Wright also led the squad with ten pass breakups and ten passes defended.
Wright, who recently saw his stock rise during the NFL combines, has the speed and instincts to be a fine cornerback in the NFL and could be off the board in the second round. A former Super Prep All-American at Colton High School, Wright recently visited the Dallas Cowboys.
The Boys & Girls Club of San Bernardino was founded in 1967 by Art Townsend, Patrick Morris, Jack Brown and Bruce Varner.
