Volunteers to be Recognized at Ontario Museum of History & Art

ONTARIO MUSEUM OF HISTORY & ART RECOGNIZES VOLUNTEERS FOR OUTSTANDING SERVICE

Ontario, CA – Volunteers are an integral part of the Ontario Museum of History & Art.  Since the Museum’s inception in 1979, volunteers have been a vital force in forging bonds between the Museum and the community. The Ontario Museum of History & Art will honor its volunteers, including those receiving special awards, at the Volunteer Celebration and Recognition to be held on Saturday, July 23, 2016 from 2 PM to 4 PM.

From assisting with art workshops to leading group tours, each one of the Museum’s volunteers contribute valuable time and energy. The Museum is extremely grateful for their support, contributions, and talent.  The program includes distinguished volunteers receiving the Bryce Denton Award, Docent of the Year, Youth Volunteer of the Year, Committee Member of the Year and more.  Featured speakers from the Museum’s Board of Trustees and the Museum’s non‑profit support group, the Museum Associates, will talk on the importance of volunteerism. The ceremony will be followed by a reception attended by friends, family, and staff.
