Watch the Skies Come Alive at SBD Fest 2019

SBD Fest 2019 returns for its fifth year, November 2 – 3, 2019

San Bernardino, Ca -Returning for its fifth year, SBD Fest is two-day celebration of aviation featuring the return of the Patriots Jet Team, and many more exciting aerobatics. SBD Fest is held at San Bernardino International Airport, the former Norton Air Force Base.

“Our goal is to provide the community with an affordable, safe, familyfriendly event. Much of our community remembers the days of the Norton
Air Force Base air shows and we are excited to have the opportunity to host an air show at the San Bernardino International Airport,” says Catherine
Pritchett, Director of Administration for the San Bernardino International Airport and Air Show Administrator. “SBD Fest is a great way for family and friends to relive nostalgic memories and to share the excitement of aviation with future generations.”

General admission is $10 per day for ages 13 and over. Active Military with ID and ages 12 and under are free. $5.00 tickets are available for military
veterans, family of active military and senior citizens.

In their continued effort to give back to the local community, this year’s SBD Fest is supporting the San Bernardino City Unified School District in two ways. The first is through Socktober, a sock drive to benefit homeless and foster children in the district’s A.T.L.A.S. program. The public can participate in Socktober by bringing two pairs of new and unused socks to the main gate of SBD Fest. In exchange, donors will receive a free general admission ticket. In addition, SBD Fest has partnered with Teen Music Workshop, an award winning music performance program comprised of approximately 250 students from throughout the Inland Empire. In September of this year, one of the program’s trailers was stolen, and with it thousands of dollars of music equipment. Through a partnership with Fender Guitar, SBD Fest has donated a custom made SBD Fest Fender Guitar to the program to replace what was lost. Raffle tickets will be sold at SBD Fest and a winner will be announced Sunday following the Sunday student performance at SBD Fest. Teen Music Workshop’s bands, Alive in the Lights and Soul Point, are scheduled to perform from gates open until opening ceremonies both days of the event.

Both days will feature not only exciting aerobatic performances but also a car show, freestyle BMX demonstrations, delicious food vendors, and much more. In partnership with the Target Store on Orange Show in San Bernardino, SBD Fest is excited to offer kids the chance to win bikes, scooters and hover boards! Sunday’s line up is equally exciting and features the 4th annual SB Strong Public Battle of the Badges Tug-o-War sponsored by the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians and Empire Wrestling Federation’s Lucha Libra Wrestlers exhibiting epic battles of muscular might. If you are
motorcycle rider, sign up now to participate in the Quaid Harley Davidson Loma Linda 2nd Annual Ride the Runway! SBD
Fest has something for everyone.

Live music closes out both days of SBD Fest and this year’s concerts feature American reggae band, The Expendables and Latin Soul Legends, Tierra. SBD Fest features a one of a kind, award-winning, concert stage built out of a Boeing 737 aircraft. The Expendables are an American reggae rock band from Santa Cruz, California and they are playing Saturday, November 2, 2019. Folk artist, Johnzo West, will open for The Expendables. Latin Soul Legends, Tierra, closes out SBD Fest 2019 on Sunday afternoon. Stone Soul, a Motown Tribute Band will open for Tierra.

SBD Fest is brought to you by SBD International Airport, Stater Bros Markets, Unical, San Bernardino City Parks and Recreations and may more generous sponsors.
