1/25-1/27, 2013 Winterfest – Colton’s annual wintertime festival is this weekend and will include dog sled races, foot and bed races, a quilt show, skiing and more!

1/25-1/27, “A Chorus Line” – The University of Redlands’ musical theater company presents this classic at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Glenn Wallichs Theatre.

1/27, Highland Family Run – The 30th Annual Highland Family YMCA Run is set for 7:30 a.m. Sunday beginning at Arroyo Verde Elementary School.

Thru 1/30, New Sculpture Exhibit – Head to the Ann Peppers Gallery at the University of Redlands campus this weekend to view the newest exhibit, “Mine: I Have Something to Show You.”

Thru 2/17, “Snow White” – The whole family will enjoy this amazing performance by award-winning playwright Wayne R. Scott starting this weekend at the LifeHouse Theater in Redlands.


1/25-1/27, Ontario Improv – Funny man JB Smoove headlines this weekend at the Ontario Improv.

Thru 1/27, Road to California Quilter’s Conference and Showcase – Come see this showcase of amazing quilts from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Ontario Convention Center.

1/26, Snow Day – The city of Ontario’s annual Snow Day event is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Westwind Park. Snow play in eight tons of snow is for children 9 and younger.

1/26, Tibbies Center Stage Theatre  – Tickets are still available for Saturday’s 7:30 p.m. performance of legendary Latin rockers Malo.


1/25, Tax Event – Community Action Partnership of Riverside County’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program launches its tax season Friday! .

1/25, Support Community Gardens – Meet and hear various speakers who have contributed to making Riverside a more green friendly place.

1/26, Asian Pacific Lunar New Year Festival – Kick off the Year of the Snake in Downtown Riverside with a parade, music, market, children’s village, live performances, food and fireworks!

1/26, Mission Tobacco Lounge Event – The Mission Tobacco Lounge will host a variety of live music events this weekend including singing barbers, live bands and a burlesque performance at 7 p.m. Saturday.

1/26, Travis Barker Appearance – Fontana native and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker will sign autographs from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Tilly’s at the Galleria at Tyler in Riverside.

1/26, Goodwill Donation Drive – The softball team at Canyon Springs High School in Moreno Valley will hold a Goodwill donation drive from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

1/26, Bike with the Mayor – Meet Mayor Bailey and enjoy a morning bicycle ride. Every other month, on Saturday mornings, the Riverside Bicycle Advisory Committee will choose a different route as we explore our beautiful city.

1/26-1/27, YMCA Open House – The Riverside Family YMCA will host an open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Thru 2/3, Riverside Community Players – “Farragut North” runs through February 3. “A classic tale of hubris set against a contemporary landscape – about the lust for power and the costs one will endure to achieve it.”


1/25, My Gym Kids Night Out – Drop off the little ones and enjoy a date night! Three hours of games, dinner and movies at My Gym Chino Hills from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.

1/26, Autism Resource and Fun Fair – A special event for children, parents, siblings and caretakers touched with autism is set for 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Chino Youth Museum. Admission is FREE.

1/26, Snow Day – The 6th Annual Winter Wonderland will be 10 am. to 2 p.m. at Veterans Park in Chino Hills. Play in the snow, make snowmen or bring your sled for some downhill racing fun!

1/26, $2 Sidewalk Sale – Head to Itty Bittys Closet in Corona for a “nothing over $2″ sidewalk sale.  You can shop through our gently used clothing and gather a few new outfits for your kiddos!


1/26, Emergency Preparedness Fair – This FREE community event, set for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Temecula City Hall. Learn how to be prepared incase of a major disaster.

1/26, “A Night at Coney Island” – Murrieta Valley High School Choir hosts a Swing Dance fundraiser on Saturday, January 26th, with 100% of the proceeds going to support choir.

1/25-1/27, “Fiddler on the Roof Jr.” – Performances all weekend long at the Old Town Temecula Community Theater. Tickets are $7.


1/25, College Information Session – The Westfield Palm Desert campus of National University will host an open information session from 2-7 p.m. Friday.

1/26, Simi Dabah Exhibit and Fundraiser – Joshua Tree’s Open Studio will host a special exhibit and fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday highlighting the work of local sculptor Simi Dabah.


It’s the last weekend you can enjoy Learn a Snow Sport month.  Big Bear Mountain Resorts is known as “So Cal’s Learn to Ski and Ride Headquarters” and it’s your best place to get started.

1/27-1/29, Young Americans Workshop – Big Bear youth in fourth through 12 grades can attend a three-day workshop sponsored by music educators the Young Americans.

1/26, Guided Snowshoe Tours – Enjoy the fresh snow from 9 a.m.t o 4 p.m. Saturday at the Big Bear Discovery Center through a guided snowshoe tour.
