RIVERSIDE & MORENO VALLEY WEEKEND EVENTS

3/15, ADDY Gala at Mission Inn  – Come network at the event where some of the biggest local names in marketing, advertising and public relations at the historic Mission Inn. Tickets are still available.

3/15, Comet PanSTARRS Viewing – The Riverside Astronomical Society is holding a public viewing of Comet PanSTARRS from sunset to 8 p.m. Friday at the Hidden Valley Nature Center in Riverside. Admission is $3.

3/15, “In the Mood” – Take a trip back to the 1940s in this musical revue set for 8 p.m. Friday at the Fox Performing Arts Center in Riverside. Tickets start at $37.35.

3/16, Miss Greater Inland Empire & Miss Greater Inland Empire’s Outstanding Teen – Find out who wins this year’s crown and scholarship program.  Event is happening at the Fox Events Center in Redlands.  Tickets are $20.

3/16, Don O’Neill St. Patrick’s Day Show – Come for an early St. Patrick’s Day celebration from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at Lee’s Framing and Gallery in Riverside. Enjoy beautiful watercolor artwork by local artist Don O’Neill.

3/16, Ms. Senior Inland Empire – The Ms. Senior Inland Empire will be crowned during a pageant at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Cambria Riverwalk. Tickets are $5.

3/16, 21st Annual Walk with the Animals – Bring along your favorite pet and walking shoes to this annual walk. Registration begins at 8 a.m. at Fairmount Park in Riverside.

SAN BERNARDINO & REDLANDS WEEKEND EVENTS

3/15, Coyote Comedy @ The Fox – Presented by the CSUSB Business Alliance, the first annual event will showcase some amazing comedy talent.  Seats are limited, so set your date night and help students raise money for a scholarship fund. Doors open at 7 p.m.; $15 Presale; $20 ticket at door; VIP Lounge only $25.

3/15-3/17, Consignment Event – About 80 Redlands participants will take part in Scarlet Threads Boutique’s consignment sale of new and gently used women’s clothing and accessories. The sale will be held throughout the weekend at the Mitten Building in Redlands. Pre-sale event on Friday for volunteers and consignors. Public sale begins at 10 a.m. Saturday. Sunday is half-price day.

3/16, “Art” – Yasmina Reza’s Tony award-winning play “Art” comes to the California Theatre of the Performing Arts in at 8 p.m. Saturday. Tickets start at $38.50.

Thru 3/30, Photo-Journalistic Exhibit – The National Orange Show Art Gallery presents “Mexico: The Revolution and Beyond” by Agustin Victor Casasola. The exhibit opens Friday and runs on from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays through the end of the month.

Thru August 2013, “Always a Bridesmaid” – The San Bernardino County Museum‘s exhibit features artifacts and costumes about marriage ceremonies from the 1860s to the 1960s. The museum is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. General admission is $8 (adult), $6 (military or senior), $5 (student), and $4 (child aged 5 to 12). Children under 5 and Museum Association members are admitted free.

HEMET WEEKEND EVENTS

3/17, Brahms Guitar Performance – Paul Galbraith, a world-renowned innovator on the eight-string Brahms Guitar, will perform at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Hemet Community Concert Association. General admission is $25. Anyone under 22 is free.

CUCAMONGA VALLEY WEEKEND EVENTS

3/15, Ontario Reign – Kick off the weekend with a game against the Stockton Thunder at the Citizen Business Bank Arena in Ontario. Tickets start at $10.

Thru 3/17, “Menopause The Musical” – Tickets are still available for Friday’s “Menopause The Musical” at 7:30 p.m. Friday at The Grove Theatre. Tickets start at $45.

3/15, Victoria’s Farmers Market – Stock up on fresh fruits and veggies from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on South Main Street in Rancho Cucamonga.

Thru 3/17, Ontario Improv – “The Lovemaster” Craig Shoemaker headlines at the Ontario Improv this weekend. Two items minimum per person. Tickets start at $20. 18 and older please.

SAN DIMAS WEEKEND EVENTS

Thru 3/16, Art Gallery Show – The San Dimas Festival of Arts Gallery will showcase two artists who work in watercolor, oil and acrylic at its monthly 2nd Story Art Gallery in Walker House. The gallery is open from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on the second and third Friday and Saturday of each month.

CHINO VALLEY WEEKEND EVENTS

3/15, State of the City Address – Corona Mayor Jason Scott will deliver his 2013 State of the City Address at at 11:30 a.m. at Crossroads Christian Church, in partnership with the Greater Corona Valley Chamber of Commerce.

3/16, Sew Funky Marketplace – This crafty fun shopping event  comes to Corona this year from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the McKinley Crossroads. Free and open to the public.

3/16, Pet Adoption Event – The City of Corona Animal Shelter is hosting a “Paws of Gold” pet adoption event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the shelter adoption facility on Harrington Street.

3/16, 100-Mile Club Ultra Marathon – RUN4Kids 24-hour running party begins at 8 a.m. Saturday at Auburndale Intermediate School in Corona.

Thru 4/16, New Exhibit – The Norco College Art Gallery unveils its new exhibit, “Women in Art and Animation” at 6 p.m. Friday. It is co-sponsored by the Lake Norcoian Club Foundation. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.

POMONA VALLEY WEEKEND EVENTS

3/16, Easter Eggtastic Event – The Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles are hosting this free holiday event from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Center Court near JC Penney at Montclair Plaza. This event is for girls kindergarten through 12 grade.

3/16, Electronics Recycling Event – A free electronics recycling event is set for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at El Roble Intermediate School in Claremont. Proceeds from the event will benefit the El Roble garden.

Thru 3/24, “The Sound of Music” – This classic family musical opens Friday at the Candlelight Pavilion in Claremont. Tickets range from $53-$68. $25 for children 12 and under. Ticket price includes a meal, show and sales tax. Appetizers, desserts, beverages and waiter’s gratuity are additional within the theater.

Thru 4/7, “Denatured Nature” – Ceramic gets interesting! Check out Scripps College Ceramic Annual.

BIG BEAR & LAKE ARROWHEAD WEEKEND EVENTS

3/16, Irish Casino Night – The 2nd Annual Luck of the Irish Casino Night will run from 6 p.m. to midnight Saturday at The Convention Center at Big Bear Lake. Presale tickets are $10, $15 at the door. Includes entrance fee, funny money, free gaming, dancing and raffle ticket. Proceeds benefit Singing Pines School.

TEMECULA & MURRIETA WEEKEND EVENTS

3/15, Empty Bowls Event – Temecula Valley High School hosts its fourth annual Empty Bowls Temecula from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday in the school’s mini-gym. For a $10 donation, guests can choose a homemade bowl created by students, fill it with soup and take the bowl home afterward.

3/15, Benefit Concert – Better Together of Temecula Valley presents “A Joyful Sound of Music” benefit concert with special guest artists The Brewer Boys at 7 p.m. Friday at the Old Town Temecula Community Theater. Goodwill donations only: $20 to a local food pantry or bag of non-perishable food items per family of 5.

3/16-3/17, Bluegrass Festival – The13th Annual Old Town Temecula Bluegrass Festival is sure to you moving this weekend! Grammy-nominated bluegrass band, The Special Consensus, is headlining the event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets for The Special Consensus show start at $15. The rest of the concerts are free.

Thru 3/30, Easter Bunny at Promenade Temecula – The Easter Bunny hops into Temecula and brings a whole lot of family fun with him from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, near Edwards Cinema and Forever 21. Dress in your Sunday best for pictures from 11 am. to 6 p.m. daily through Easter.

COACHELLA VALLEY & DESERT COMMUNITIES WEEKEND EVENTS

3/15, ABC Recovery Center Celebration – Indio’s ABC Recovery Center will celebrate its 50th anniversary beginning at 6 p.m. Friday at the Fantasty Springs Resort Casino. Tickets are $100.

3/16, Stand Up to Bullying Benefit – Beverly Hill hairstylist Lenny Strand is hosting “The Bash to Banish Bullying,” a fundraiser to benefit the Gets Better organization this weekend at the Saguaro Hotel in Palm Springs. Donations/tickets are $150 each.
