RIVERSIDE & MORENO VALLEY WEEKEND EVENTS

3/22, Spring Egg Hunt Spectacular – The annual free egg hunt begins at 4 p.m. at Lincoln Park. Children 12 and younger only.

3/23, Political Satire & Folk Music – Tom Neilson will be coming to the Inland Empire on March 23rd, 2013 at 7:00 pm performing for one night only at the Universalist Unitarian Church of Riverside.  Universalist Unitarian Church of Riverside is a red sandstone church on the corner of Mission Inn and Lemon St.  The concert is presented by the UUCR Social Justice Committee

3/23, “Heavenly Voices”- The Riverside County Philharmonic featuring the La Sierra University Chorale present  this amazing showcase at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Fox Performing Arts Center in Riverside. Tickets start at $34.25.

3/23, Eastside Community Fair & Egg Hunt – Community fun with information booths, health screenings, Zumba demos, arts and crafts, music and more! From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bobby Bonds Sports Complex.

3/23, Spring Egg Hunt – Grab your baskets and get ready for this FREE amazing egg hunt from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Reid Park.

3/23, Welcome Home Vietnam Vets Celebration – The March Field Air Museum in Riverside will host a special celebration for Vietnam Veterans at 11 a.m. Saturday. Museum admission prices are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children 5 to 12.

Thru 4/7 – “Go Back for Murder” – The Riverside Community Players presents this Agatha Christie murder mystery through April 7. Shows are at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $15.

SAN BERNARDINO & REDLANDS WEEKEND EVENTS

3/22, Habitat for Humanity Gala – Custom-made dog houses are just some of the things up for auction from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Habitat for Humanity San Bernardino Area’s Journey of Hope Gala – Building Hope for Veterans. The auction will take place in University Hall in Redlands. Tickets for the event are $75 per person, $125 a couple and $500 for a table of eight.

Thru 3/24, “Witness for the Prosecution” – This Agatha Christie drama is presented by the Redlands Footlighters Theatre through Sunday. Shows are at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $15.

Thru 3/30, Photo-Journalistic Exhibit – The National Orange Show Art Gallery presents “Mexico: The Revolution and Beyond” by Agustin Victor Casasola. The exhibit opens Friday and runs on from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays through the end of the month.

Thru 3/30, “The Rise of King David” – LifeHouse Theater presents this inspiring musical epic through the end of the month in Redlands. Show times are Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 2:15 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2:15 p.m. Tickets range from $14-$18 for adults and $7-$9 for children.

Thru August 2013, “Always a Bridesmaid” – The San Bernardino County Museum‘s exhibit features artifacts and costumes about marriage ceremonies from the 1860s to the 1960s. The museum is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. General admission is $8 (adult), $6 (military or senior), $5 (student), and $4 (child aged 5 to 12). Children under 5 and Museum Association members are admitted free.

CUCAMONGA VALLEY WEEKEND EVENTS

Thru 3/24, Ontario Improv – Loni Love  headlines at the Ontario Improv this weekend. Two items minimum per person. Tickets start at $20. 18 and older please.

3/22-3/24, Auto Club 400 – The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series returns to the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana this weekend. Qualifying on Friday ($20 admission), Royal Purple 300 0n Saturday (tickets range from $30-$50), and the Auto Club 400 on Sunday (tickets range from $35-$105). Check out the website for special discounts, kids pricing and start times.

3/23, Brunch with the Easter Bunny – Children of all ages are invited to this special event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Westwind Community Center in Ontario. Cost is $8 per person ($10 for non-residents) and $4 for those 2 and younger ($6 for non-residents). Pre-registration is required. Children 7 and younger must be acoompanied by an adult.

3/23, Dos Lagos Stadium 15 – The FREE Saturday Family Film Series continues this weekend with “Bee Movie.”  The movie starts at 10 a.m. at the Corona theater.

3/23, Rocky Horror Picture Show – Dress up in your best Dr. Frank-N-Furter costume and bring your toast to the weekly midnight showing of this cult classic. Tickets are $11.50 for adults, $9 for students with valid ID, and $8 for seniors.

SAN DIMAS WEEKEND EVENTS

3/23, San Dimas Annual Family Festival – Grab the family and head over to this yearly fun-filled event, which runs from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Civic Center Park. Kids 2-10 can take part in an egg hunt and will feature the Youth and Family Community Connections fair.

CHINO VALLEY WEEKEND EVENTS

3/24, Chino Brew & Chew – Breweries and food trucks come together this Sunday at the Chino Fairgrounds. $35 GA; $45 VIP.  Both include 15 4-oz. beer tastings. Event is for 21 and older.

Thru 4/16, New Exhibit – The Norco College Art Gallery unveils its new exhibit, “Women in Art and Animation” at 6 p.m. Friday. It is co-sponsored by the Lake Norcoian Club Foundation. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.

POMONA VALLEY WEEKEND EVENTS

3/23, Spring Open House – Come see everything the Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden has to offers at its yearly Spring Open House from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in Claremont. Free garden admission all day!

Thru 3/24, “The Sound of Music” – Final weekend! This classic family musical opens Friday at theCandlelight Pavilion in Claremont. Tickets range from $53-$68. $25 for children 12 and under. Ticket price includes a meal, show and sales tax. Appetizers, desserts, beverages and waiter’s gratuity are additional within the theater.

Thru 4/7, “Denatured Nature” – Ceramic gets interesting! Check out Scripps College Ceramic Annual.

PERRIS WEEKEND EVENTS

3/23, Breakfast with the Easter Bunny – Come and celebrate the season with a fun pancake and egg breakfast and egg hunt from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday on the Civic Center Lawn in Perris. Tickets are $4.50 for those 5 and older; under 4 is FREE with each paid breakfast. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Sign up early; space is limited.

3/23-3/24, Bunny Train – The Easter Bunny will be at the Orange Empire Railway Museum from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Children can also decorate Easter baskets, and follow a map as they hunt for eggs. Admission: $12 for adults; $8 for children 5-11 and $5 for children 2-4.

BIG BEAR & LAKE ARROWHEAD WEEKEND EVENTS

3/24, Spring Easter Egg Hunt – Community Church by the Lake will holds its annual egg hunt from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, sponsored by the Soroptimist International of Big Bear Valley, Inc.

TEMECULA & MURRIETA WEEKEND EVENTS

3/22, Teen Glow Egg Hunt – For teens only! Enjoy a Friday evening party in the park with an egg hunt, music and dancing! Prizes include flat screen television and an iPad. The festivities run from 8 to 9:30 p.m. at Kent Hintergardt Memorial Park.

3/22-3/23, Gallim Dance – A unique and inventive dance performance is set for 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday  at the Old Town Temecula Community Theater. Tickets range from $15-$25.

3/23, Elvis Tribute – Join Elvis and Friends as they take a trip back with the King during this 1970s and 1980s musical tribute. Two shows only — 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. — Saturday at the Act One Theater in Temecula. Tickets range from $10-$17.

Thru 3/30, Easter Bunny at Promenade Temecula – The Easter Bunny hops into Temecula and brings a whole lot of family fun with him from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, near Edwards Cinema and Forever 21. Dress in your Sunday best for pictures from 11 am. to 6 p.m. daily through Easter.

COACHELLA VALLEY & DESERT COMMUNITIES WEEKEND EVENTS

3/22-3/24, Palm Desert Food & Wine Festival – Come see some of California’s most inspiring culinary experts and vintners this weekend during the three-day food and wine fair. Check out the website for schedule and event pricing.
