RIVERSIDE & MORENO VALLEY WEEKEND EVENTS

3/30, Riverside Police Foundation Easter Egg Hunt – Free egg hunt, gift giveaway, games, face painting and more begins at 2 p.m. at White Park.

3/30, Downtown Easter Egg-Stravaganza – A free family Easter celebration featuring face-painting, balloon artists, arts and crafts and more will be from noon to 4 p.m. in the Main Street Pedestrian Area between University Avenue and 5th Street in Riverside! Easter Peep Show by DragonMarsh and an Easter egg give-away all planned!

3/31, Everybody’s Easter Event – Head to the Bear Valley Elementary School in Moreno Valley for a fun Easter event.  Vendors, face painting, live music, Kid Zone, raffles, food and more! 26125 Fir Ave. Moreno Valley. Starts at 11 a.m.

Thru 4/7 – “Go Back for Murder” – The Riverside Community Players presents this Agatha Christie murder mystery through April 7. Shows are at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $15.

SAN BERNARDINO & REDLANDS WEEKEND EVENTS

3/30, IE Cookie Monsters Bake Sale – The 7th annual bake sale for the Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Ed Hales Park.

3/30, Highland Citrus Festival – This 17th annual fest will run from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Palm Avenue from Pacific Street South and stretching along Main Street. Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for children.

Thru 3/30, Photo-Journalistic Exhibit – The National Orange Show Art Gallery presents “Mexico: The Revolution and Beyond” by Agustin Victor Casasola. The exhibit opens Friday and runs on from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays through the end of the month. Admission and parking is FREE.

Thru 3/30, “The Rise of King David” – LifeHouse Theater presents this inspiring musical epic through the end of the month in Redlands. Show times are Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 2:15 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2:15 p.m. Tickets range from $14-$18 for adults and $7-$9 for children.

3/31, Easter Buffet & Egg Hunt – Enjoy Easter Sunday with a Champagne Brunch and egg hunt beginning at 11 a.m. at the Redlands Country Club. Seatings for brunch are at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.; egg hunts are at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. $34.94 per person; $14.95 for children 4-10 years old. Under 3 is free. Reservations required.

Thru August 2013, “Always a Bridesmaid” – The San Bernardino County Museum‘s exhibit features artifacts and costumes about marriage ceremonies from the 1860s to the 1960s. The museum is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. General admission is $8 (adult), $6 (military or senior), $5 (student), and $4 (child aged 5 to 12). Children under 5 and Museum Association members are admitted FREE. Parking is FREE

CUCAMONGA VALLEY WEEKEND EVENTS

Thru 3/30, Ontario Improv – Steve Trevino headlines at the Ontario Improv this weekend. Two items minimum per person. Tickets start at $20. 18 and older please.

3/29, Ontario Reign 80s Night – The Ontario Reign take on the Alaska Aces during a Totally 80s and Star Wars” evening beginning at 7 p.m. Friday. Tickets start at $10.

3/30, Spring Festival & Egg Hunt – It’ll be a day full of free fun, family and celebrating Easter from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park in Ontario. Registration begins at 9 a.m. Egg hunts, prizes, crafts, jumpers, egg decorating contests, information booths and more. Food, face painting, vendors, raffles and more are available for purchase. Egg hunts will be broken down in four age categories. Parking is $10.

3/30, Welcome the Bunny – Bring the kids to Victoria Gardens Town Square from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to meet the Easter Bunny!  Games, prizes, crafts and more!

3/30, 30th Annual Egg Hunt – The Upland-Foothill Kiwanis presents its FREE family event beginning at 10 a.m. at Upland Memorial Park. Children 7 and younger only; under 3 must be accompanied by an adult. Bring your own basket!

3/31, Ontario Mills Mall – For the first time ever, the mall will be open on Easter Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

CHINO VALLEY WEEKEND EVENTS

3/30, 20th Annual Easter Egg-Citement – Bring the kids to an egg decorating contest, pictures with the Easter Bunny, music, crafts and, of course, an egg hunt from 11 to 2 p.m.   at Chino Hills Community Park. No outside bags or baskets allowed; the city will provide bags for egg hunts.

3/30, Children’s Fair & Egg Hunt – Kids from 1 to 8 years old will have fun finding their share of 8,000 candy-stuffed eggs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at McVicker Canyon Park in Lake Elsinore. Live entertainment, puppet show, bouncers and yummy food too!

3/30, Easter Egg Hunt and Hop – The city of Norco will hold its free festival from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at theWayne-Makin Sports Complex for children 1 to 11 years old. Egg hunt, Bunny hop, pet adoptions with Norco Animal Shelter, art activities and Easter Bunny photos.

3/30, Dos Lagos Stadium 15 – The free Saturday Family Film Series continues this weekend with “Alpha and Omega.”  The movie starts at 10 a.m. at the Corona theater.

3/30, Rocky Horror Picture Show – Dress up in your best Dr. Frank-N-Furter costume and bring your toast to the weekly midnight showing of this cult classic. Tickets are $11.50 for adults, $9 for students with valid ID, and $8 for seniors.

Thru 3/31, Spring Break Carnival – The Corona-Norco School District’s annual Spring Break Carnival will be held. Friday through Sunday at Corona High School. free admission and parking. There is a charge for vendors’ sales and rides. The carnival is from 5-10 p.m. Friday, 5-11 p.m. Saturday, 1-11 p.m. Sunday and 1-10 p.m. Sunday. Visit the website for discount on ride tickets.

Thru 4/16, New Exhibit – The Norco College Art Gallery unveils its new exhibit, “Women in Art and Animation” at 6 p.m. Friday. It is co-sponsored by the Lake Norcoian Club Foundation. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.

POMONA VALLEY WEEKEND EVENTS

3/30, Spring Celebration – The Claremont Rotary Club and the city of Claremont will host a fun, community event beginning at 9 a.m. at Memorial Park. Petting zoo, candy egg hunt, clowns, contests and more. Children 12 and younger only please; they will be divided into four age groups.

3/30, Easter Eggstravaganza & Pancake Breakfast – Free egg activities for children 10 and younger from 9  to 11 a.m. at the Montclair Community Center. A $3 pancake breakfast will also be held.

3/31, Easter Sunday Service – The Fairplex in Pomona is holding a special Easter Sunday Service at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Parking and admission are free.

Thru 4/7, “Denatured Nature” – Ceramic gets interesting! Check out Scripps College Ceramic Annual.

BIG BEAR & LAKE ARROWHEAD WEEKEND EVENTS

3/30, Spring Break Bash – Bear Mountain is the place to be Saturday for Neff’s Beach Bash Weekend, beach-themed party and snowboard contest. Pond skim, ball pit and $3,000 in prize money!

Thru 4/14, “The 39 Steps”- A comedic take on this Alfred Hitchcock classic is presented by the Big Bear Theatre Project through mid-April at the Masonic Lodge Theater in Big Bear Lake. Shows run Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students.

TEMECULA & MURRIETA WEEKEND EVENTS

3/30, Temecula Easter Egg Hunts – Get ready for spring at one of the city’s three free Easter egg hunts for children ages up to 12. Egg hunts start at 10 a.m. at Harveston Community Park, Patricia H. Birdsall Sports Park and Temeku Hills Park (formerly at the Ronald Reagan Sports Park). Special needs facilities available at all three locations.

3/30, Spring EGGstravaganza – Murrieta’s Spring festival is set for 9 a.m. to noon at Town Square Park. More than 10,000 eggs in age-restricted times hunts.

3/29-3/30, “The Passion of the Christ” – The Inland Valley Classical Ballet Theatre presents the third annual production of “The Passion of the Christ” at 7 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday at the Old Town Temecula Theater. Advance tickets are $20 and $16 for balcony seating. Tickets are $22 at the door.

3/31, Easter Brunch and Egg Hunt – Enjoy a Champagne Brunch and an Easter egg hunt beginning at 10 a.m. at the Country Club in Canyon Lake. The cost is $24.95 for adults, $11.95 for kids 8-12. Reservations required. Seating is limited.

Thru 3/30, Easter Bunny at Promenade Temecula – The Easter Bunny hops into Temecula and brings a whole lot of family fun with him from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, near Edwards Cinema and Forever 21. Dress in your Sunday best for pictures from 11 am. to 6 p.m. daily through Easter.

3/31, Easter Brunch – Calloway Winery hosts a special Easter brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. $42.95 for adults, $18.95 for children 5-11, and under 5 is free.

APPLE VALLEY WEEKEND EVENTS

3/30, Egg Hunt and Bunny Run – Kick off the Spring season with an egg hunt at 9 a.m. sponsored by the Apple Valley Optimist Club. Face painting, concessions, bouncers and more. Admission is $5. Earlier in the day, take part in the annual Bunny Run 5K Walk and 5K/10K. Race starts at 8 a.m.; pre-registration recommended.

COACHELLA VALLEY & DESERT COMMUNITIES WEEKEND EVENTS

3/30, Blue Man Group – Tickets are still available for this weekend’s performances by the Blue Man Group at the McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert. Tickets start at $65.

3/31, Easter Brunch – Check out these 10 spots in Palm Springs to have a fantastic Easter brunch!

3/31, El Paseo Bunny Hop – Grab your running shoes and join Family Services of the Desert for its Easter Sunday 5K run/walk, sponsored by the Palm Springs Track Club. Registration information is available online.
