RIVERSIDE & MORENO VALLEY WEEKEND EVENTS

4/13, Doobie Brothers – These legendary rockers take the stage at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Fox Performing Arts Center in Riverside. Special guest is the Chris Thayer Band. Tickets start at $39.

4/13, Walk with the Mayor – Grab your walking shoes and hit the pavement with Riverside Mayor Rusty Bailey from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday beginning at Cesar Chavez Community Center in Riverside.

4/13, Spring Festival – The Inland Empire Spring Festival & BBQ is set for 8 a.m. Saturday at Adams Motorsports Park in Riverside.

4/13, Gardener Workshop – A free master gardener workshop, “Creating a Butterfly Friendly Garden,” will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Western Municipal Water District in Riverside.

4/13, Earth Day Celebration – The Earth Day Restoration and Cleanup Program kicks off at 9 a.m. Saturday at the California Citrus State Historic Park in Riverside.

Thru 4/21, “The Secret Garden” – Performance Riverside presents this family musical beginning this weekend at the Landis Performing Arts Center (Riverside City College) in Riverside. Tickets start at $35.

SAN BERNARDINO & REDLANDS WEEKEND EVENTS

Thru 5/19, “Anne of Green Gables” – LifeHouse Theater presents this family musical beginning Friday night in Redlands. Tickets start at $7 for children and $14 for adults.

Thru August 2013, “Always a Bridesmaid” – The San Bernardino County Museum‘s exhibit features artifacts and costumes about marriage ceremonies from the 1860s to the 1960s.

CUCAMONGA VALLEY WEEKEND EVENTS

4/13, MadMod – The Colony @ Loft 204 in Claremont is holding a special 1960s-themed party in celebration of the new season of AMC’s “MadMen” from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door. 21 and older only.

4/11-4/14, Ontario Improv – Finesse Mitchell headlines at the Ontario Improv this weekend. Two items minimum per person. Tickets start at $20. 18 and older please.

Thru 4/14, Quakes Baseball – The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes take on the High Desert Mavericks this weekend at Stater Bros. Stadium in Adelanto. Check out the website for times and ticket prices.

Thru 4/14, “The Phantom Tollbooth”  – The Mainstreet Theatre Company presents “The Phantom Tollbooth” at the Lewis Family Playhouse in Rancho Cucamonga. General admission tickets are $16; seniors/youth are $14.

Thru 4/21, “Godspell” – Come see this classic musical this weekend at The Grove Theatre in Upland. Tickets start at $15.

CHINO VALLEY WEEKEND EVENTS

4/13, Rocky Horror Picture Show – Dress up in your best Dr. Frank-N-Furter costume and bring your toast to the weekly midnight showing of this cult classic. Tickets are $11.50 for adults, $9 for students with valid ID, and $8 for seniors.

4/13, Dos Lagos Stadium 15 – The free Saturday Family Film Series continues this weekend with “We Bought a Zoo”  The movie starts at 10 a.m. at the Corona theater.

4/13, Donor Drive – The Corona Public Library will hold a Kidney & Organ Donor Drive from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday. Admission, with lunch served, is $15 (2 for $25). Guests have a chance to win door prizes, buy raffle tickets or bid at a silent auction.

Thru 4/14, Storm Baseball – The Lake Elsinore Storm takes on the Inland Empire 66ers this weekend atDiamond Stadium. Check out the website for times and ticket prices.

Thru 4/14, Frontier Days – It’s time for the the annual Lake Elsinore Frontier Days this weekend at Alberhill Park. The event starts at 10 a.m.

Thru 4/16, New Exhibit – The Norco College Art Gallery unveils its new exhibit, “Women in Art and Animation” at 6 p.m. Friday. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.

POMONA VALLEY WEEKEND EVENTS

4/13, Auto Show – The 34th Annual Handcrafted Auto Show rolls into the Fairplex in Pomona from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free. Parking is $10.

413, Pomona Art Walk – Visit the American Museum of Ceramic Art and other art venues from 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the Downtown Arts Colony.

Thru 6/9, “Blue Eyes & His Buddies” – Take a trip back to the days of the RatPack: Sinatra, Davis and Marin in a tribute show running weekends through June at the Center Stage Fontana. Tickets for dinner/show start at $39.95; show-only tickets are $18.

Thru 5/5, “Sweet Charity” – Come see this Neil Simon musical through the beginning of May at the Candlelight Pavilion Dinner Theater in Claremont. Tickets start at $53.

BIG BEAR & LAKE ARROWHEAD WEEKEND EVENTS

4/13, Story Time – Bring the family to the Big Bear Discovery Center from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Saturday for a reading of “Desert Nigh Shift, A Pack Rat Story.”

Thru 4/14, “Mark Twain and the Shakespeare Mystery” – This one-act, one-man show closes this weekend at the CATS Warehouse Theater in Big Bear. Check out website for schedule. Tickets are $15.

Thru 4/14, “The 39 Steps”- A comedic take on this Alfred Hitchcock classic is presented by the Big Bear Theatre Project and ends this weekend at the Masonic Lodge Theater in Big Bear Lake. Final shows are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students.

SAN DIMAS WEEKEND EVENTS

4/13, Track and Field Meet – The 43rd Annual City Olympics Track & Field Meet begins at 9 a.m. Saturday.

TEMECULA & MURRIETA WEEKEND EVENTS

4/13, Young People’s Concert – The Inland Valley Symphony will hold its Young People’s Concert, featuring the winners of the 2013 IVS Young Artist Competition, at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Gershwin Performing Arts Center at Murrieta Mesa High School.

Thru 4/21, “Father of the Bride” – The Temecula Valley Players presents this classic comedy at the Old Town Temecula Community Theater. Tickets are $25 for Orchestra, and $20 for Parterre and Balcony. There is a $10 discount on Thursdays for seniors, students, teachers and military (active and retired). Friday performances are $15.

COACHELLA VALLEY & DESERT COMMUNITIES WEEKEND EVENTS

4/12-4/14, Coachella Parties – Headed to Coachella Music Festival this weekend?  Or maybe not.  Whatever the case you can hit up this list of Coachella parties this weekend!

4/14, Garden Tour – The 8th Annual Desert Horticultural Society of the Coachella Valley is set for 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Wellness Park in Palm Springs. Admission is free but goodwill donations are accepted.

4/14, Opera and Art Festival – The 4th Annual Festival of Opera & Art is from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Palm Desert Civic Center Park and Amphitheater. Admission is free. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs and umbrellas.
