While Major Banks Plan to Charge for Debit Card Usage Premier Service Bank Continues to Offer Fee-Free Checking

Riverside, CA, October 26, 2011 – As major financial institutions are starting to charge their customers for simply using their debit cards, Premier Service Bank sticks to its community bank principle and continues to offer fee-free checking that it has been offering all along.

Amid significant changes taking place in the banking industry and consumers’ overall discontent with mega national banks, Premier Service Bank is creating positive awareness about the advantages of banking at a community bank.  The bank also offers access to a network of over 20,000 surcharge-free ATMs, as well as free online and telephone banking services which provide clients with easy access to their accounts wherever and whenever they need it.

“We have no intention of adding a monthly service fee or debit card usage fee to our checking accounts,” said Kerry L. Pendergast, the bank’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “We are pleased to continue to offer consumers a truly free checking account which helps underscore the community bank difference and the premier value we provide.”

In reaction to the recent announcements of debit card usage fees by several banks, personal finance experts are advising consumers to move their money to a customer friendly Main Street bank. Residents of Riverside and Corona can take advantage of this sound advice by switching their checking relationship to Premier Service Bank and say good bye to debit card fees.
