The workshop is taught by Jeff Schaefer, founder of Mill Creek Networks, Inc., a company that develops software and provides consulting to large companies such as Wells Fargo, AT&T, Loma Linda University Medical Center and the United States Department of Interior.
The seminar will focus on topics such as creating and owning a web site, free Internet alternatives such as Facebook, Google apps and Yahoo small business, and online credit card processing.
“The Internet offers businesses a number of applications that can increase revenue, speed up payments and boost name recognition,” said Lori Tilley, economic development manager. “According to figures from the U.S. Census Bureau, e-commerce generated more than $43 billion in the first quarter of 2011.
