Workshops Teaches Entrepreneurs the Fundamentals of Starting a Business

Economy is forcing many job seekers to start their own companies

WHAT: The City of San Bernardino, Economic Development Agency Office of Business Development is hosting a free seminar that will guide attendees through the  steps needed to start their own business. Anyone with an interest in learning the fundamentals to launch a start-up business is invited to attend.

Lori Tillery, economic development manager for the City of San Bernardino Economic Development Agency, said the recession has forced many laid-off workers to become entrepreneurs and they often need help navigating through the complicated process of launching a company.

The workshop, titled “The ABCs of Owning Your Own Business,” will be taught by Rachel Wolfinbarger of the Inland Empire Women’s Business Center. (IEWBC.)  The workshop will focus on subjects such as legal issues, financing and creating a business plan.
