In this special “Outside the Gallery” talk, visitors will be able to look at the world of work through the lens of our county’s history, using a variety of photographic images from the museum’s permanent collections.
“Historic photographs are a great way to gain insightful, sometimes funny, and often poignant views into the past,” said Nielsen. “Take a guess at what equipment was assigned to the County Forester in the 1920s, discover several common occupations off the day that are now long forgotten, and find out about business equipment that had to be fed instead of oiled!”
This one hour program is free of charge and open to Del Webb homeowners and the public. Del Webb’s Sun City Apple Valley is located at 19311 Jesse Ranch Parkway in Apple Valley. Residents of Sun City are asked to call (760) 247-9195 to make reservations. No reservations are necessary for the general public.
