Ontario, CA – The City of Ontario is proud to continue its sponsorship of the 5K Reindeer Run and Rudolph’s Dash. The Reindeer Run, formerly known as the “Fun Run” was created over 13 years ago by the Ontario Recreation & Community Services Department. Since then, the race has evolved into a community and family event with over 1,300 participants and growing!
The City of Ontario has joined efforts with the Ontario-Montclair Promise Scholars, an award winning program designed to assist Ontario-Montclair youth by helping to prepare them in their journey towards a college education. All proceeds from the race will be donated to their program and the Youth Empowerment Scholarship, which gives the opportunity for children from low income families the ability to participate in recreation programs and classes.
The event takes place on Saturday, December 10 at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario. Check-in time is 7 AM. The event will be kicked-off by the Mascot Run at 7:30 AM, followed by the Rudolph’s Dash at 8 AM. The 5K Run will begin immediately following Rudolph’s Dash.
