Norco, CA – Rawsienna Prudence Martinez, a U.S. Navy Veteran and Norco College student, was surprised with a car from Platinum Collision Centers at the Benevolence Car Giveaway event.

The Reaching New Heights Foundation, which partnered with Platinum Collision Centers, received many worthy nominations and ultimately selected Martinez.

“It was tough making a choice because there were many in need, but Rawsienna’s life story stood out,” said Sargent Major (RET.) Gregory Coker, Founder of Reaching New Heights Foundation. “I enjoyed collaborating with Norco College and the Veterans Resource Center to make this dream a reality.”

Martinez is a single-mother and a disabled veteran.  She resides in Corona and is pursuing an associate of Science degree in Business Accounting Administration. Her long term goal is to work in a mortuary.

“The Lord is my joy and strength,” said Martinez. “I’m so grateful. Now I can take my son to the museum and visit my mom more often.”

The vehicle was donated by AAA of Southern California and became a labor of love that was made possible by donations from Cardinale Way Hyundai, FinishMaster Paint, Precision Auto Glass, P&D Wholesale, Goodman Giving and Enterprise Gas.
