Chino, CA – This Saturday, the Walmart Supercenter in Chino will be offering the Inland Empire families free health screenings and low cost immunizations as a part of Walmart Wellness Day. Along with the health screenings there will be fun for the whole family, including activities, free giveaways and health resources.

Where: Chino Walmart Store, 3943 Grand Ave, Chino, CA 91710
When: Saturday, April 21, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Customers attending the Wellness Day will also be able to enjoy all the new offerings of the full store remodel just completed, which features an upgraded pharmacy including a new private consultation room and additional service lanes. Other remodel upgrades include: state-of-the-art electronics department, improved layout and lighting in produce and bakery, and expanded home and apparel departments.

The newly remodeled Chino Walmart Supercenter will be hosting a Walmart Wellness Day event on Saturday, April 21. This free health screening event provides people in the community an opportunity to learn valuable health information, including:

  • Blood glucose
  • Blood pressure
  • Body mass index
  • Low-cost immunizations
  • Vision screenings

Since its first Walmart Wellness Day event, the company has provided more than 2 million free screenings to people across the country, helping countless customers uncover existing health problems. For some, the screenings have been life-saving. Hundreds of thousands of Americans turn out for each Walmart Wellness Day event, making it America’s largest single day health fair event.Screening like these provide important resources for people who may be dealing with challenging health conditions. For example, a 2016 study found that 46 percent of Californians have prediabetes, and in the Inland Empire, 50 percent of adults have diabetes or are prone to the disease. In fact, according to the California Department of Public Health, San Bernardino County’s diabetes-related death rate is 50 percent higher than the state average.
