City of Rancho Cucamonga – “RC TeenWorks” Opportunities for Youth in Grades 5 – 12

Teen Works

Rancho Cucamonga, California – The City of Rancho Cucamonga Community Services Department is excited to announce the unveiling of RC TeenWorks, formerly known as the Teen Recreation Activity Club (T.R.A.C.) Program held out of the Lions West Community Center (9161 Base Line Road). As of August 1, 2017, the T.R.A.C. Program will transition to RC TeenWorks.

RC TeenWorks is a comprehensive youth development program for tweens and teens in grades 5 – 12 that provides participants with character-building and leadership skills through recreation programs, workshops, volunteer opportunities, and internship openings throughout the year. Along with familiar favorites from T.R.A.C. like Teen Summer Camp and Babysitters Workshops, RC TeenWorks offers an Afterschool Activities Club and Explorers Program where participants can register for a variety of weekly classes and recreational activities designed with teens’ interests in mind. Teens participating in these and other programs, workshops and visiting during drop-in times have access to the Lions West Community Center’s Art Studio showcasing their creative and unique rotating art projects. For teens who are motivated and eager to help their community, there is the monthly community service-based Volunteer Coalition. For teens who are committed and interested in work skills preparation and mentorship opportunities, the year-long Internship Program will offer them the self-confidence and training they desire to help them succeed outside of school. Other supervised programs, activities and events are offered seasonally through RC TeenWorks. The Community Services Department strives to provide a safe, positive and fun environment for the youth in Rancho Cucamonga. RC TeenWorks staff especially take pride in serving as mentors and positive role models.
