Colton Company Unveils Largest Solar Installation in City History

Compostable Plastics - Microdyne Plastics

Microdyne Plastics, Inc., a Colton-based company that produces precision injection and blow-molded plastic products, is hosting an open house to unveil its new solar installation. The new solar panels will ensure a stable power supply through the use of more than 2,600 solar panel units which combined could save the company 35 percent in their energy costs.  The 650 KW panel, which covers 70,000 square feet, was partly funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.  To date the project is the largest solar installation in the city of Colton.
