The Inland Empire AAF Honored the Best in Advertising at Gala

Riverside, CA – The top advertising created in the Inland Empire in 2016 was honored by the American Advertising Federation Inland Empire Chapter as part of the American Advertising Awards at the Mission Inn on Friday, March 17. There was both a student gala, honoring the best student work and a professional gala.

California Baptist University took top honors of Best-of-Show in both the professional and the student competitions while 36 other professionals or agencies came home with Gold, Silver or Bronze Awards. The agencies with the most number of wins included Ontario’s Ignite Design and Advertising with 19 awards, including 11 Gold, Murrieta’s Pulse Marketing with 16 awards, including 3 Gold, and Norco’s Jeffrey Court with 14 awards.

The Student competition was the eighth largest student advertising competition in the nation with 142 entries from ten colleges or universities plus one high school. Matthew Cook from California Baptist University took the Best-of-Show Award, while the other students from the university took home a total of 29 awards. Other schools winning the most awards include The Art Institute of California – Inland Empire with 34 awards, California State University, San Bernardino with 31 awards and Cal Poly Pomona with 15 awards. In all, students from ten schools took home awards.

The American Advertising Awards Inland Empire Competition is part of the national American Advertising Awards, the world’s largest advertising competition with about 40,000 professional entries in almost 200 local competitions and about 5,000 student entries. Winners in the local competitions move on to complete in one of fifteen district competitions for the right to make it to the national finals.
