Inland Health Professions Coalition offers out-of-school youth a fresh start with health training program.
FONTANA, CA – The Inland Health Professions Coalition (IHPC) will offer 28 young adults the opportunity to participate in their FREE Health Occupations Training (H.O.T) program, as part of their mission to address the healthcare shortage in the Inland Empire. A FREE program informational session will be held Thursday, August 10th at 5:00 PM at the Fontana Adult School, located at 10755 Oleander Ave. Fontana, CA 92337. Youth between ages 16-24 may be eligible for the program. To attend, contact the IHPC office at (909) 982-8641 and ask for the HOT Program.
H.O.T offers assistance and support to participants who face barriers to employment, such as homelessness, disability, or trauma, and helps them earn income while training for entry-level healthcare certificates. Students receive one-on-one guidance, hands on soft-skills training, and paid field experiences. The H.O.T program is funded by the San Bernardino Workforce Development Board through the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) Grant.
