Night Gallery Black & White Ball Art Show to be Held October 16, 2016

Riverside, CALIFORNIA  – In honor of Ghost Walk Riverside’s 25th Anniversary Celebration, California Riverside Ballet presents Night Gallery Black & White Ball, a juried art show and auction f
eaturing festive appetizers and a champagne reception.

California Riverside BalletTwelve works were selected by an esteemed panel of judges from a pool of local and regional artists, both student and professional. The show will include works ranging from photography, digital, and mixed media. The art will be on display at the reception at Mezcal Cantina y Cocina on Sunday, October 16, 2016, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

The judges’ results will also be announced at the event. Awards will include a Best of Show, Gold and Silver Awards. Additionally, Honorary Chair, City of Riverside Ward 1 Council Member Mike Gardner, will present a Chair’s Choice Award.

Beth Morrow, Art Design and AP Studio Art Design Instructor at Poly High School, states, “I think one of the most exciting aspects of the event is the blending of the arts. The visual artwork that will be auctioned off was inspired, in many cases, by the performing arts and specifically the Ballet. A beautiful blending of the two areas is demonstrated and it is all to support a very good cause.”

Proceeds from the event will benefit California Riverside Ballet’s Academy Program. The Academy Program offers affordable ballet training to students ages 7-10 at three Riverside Community Centers – Cesar Chavez, Arlanza, and Villegas. California Riverside Ballet’s mission is to present the finest in classical and contemporary ballet to the community.

California Riverside Ballet is a non-profit (501(c)(3) corporation and is supported in part by the City & County of Riverside, Riverside Arts Council, as well as private individuals and corporations. We invite you to join us in supporting the Inland Empire’s finest ballet company so that CRB can continue presenting outstanding programs, and give our community’s young dancers the chance to prove their worth alongside celebrated artists from the finest ballet companies in the world.
