Come celebrate Día de los Muertos with hands-on art workshops, enjoy live performances with the group Musical Fiesta, take a picture at our photo backdrop, get your face painted by one of our Día de los Muertos exhibition artists, and visit our Día de los Muertos: Seasons of Life Exhibition.  Día de los Muertos attire is strongly encouraged. This event is free and open to the public.

Thursday, October 6 through Sunday, November 13, 2016

The Ontario Museum of History & Art has been honoring Day of the Dead traditions with large scale exhibits and programs for two decades. Día de los Muertos: Seasons of Life will showcase vibrant pieces of art honoring the deceased.  This year’s artists bring their own highly personal views of life and death to a diverse array of media, including painting, sculpture, mixed media, photography, and altar installations. Whether exhibiting serious tributes to loved-ones, or light-hearted and humorous pieces, the collective result is as broadly educational as it is entertaining.

This year’s theme of Seasons of Life focuses on the natural world and the cyclical aspects of life.
