Palm Desert – Get Control of Your Small Business’s Finances!

CVWBC
Palm Desert, CA – On April 1st, the Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center (CVWBC) is starting a three-session workshop series entitled “QuickBooks, Quick Start”. The series is designed to show small business owners how to use QuickBooks to set-up and manage their business’s finances.

During this hands-on beginner’s class, participants learn how to set up a company, add vendors and customers, create estimates and invoices, create purchase orders, enter and pay bills, and generate reports. They are also taught the proper use, common pitfalls, and best practices of using the QuickBooks software.

Participants are provided with computer and software access as well as supporting workshop materials. The only caveat is that participants must possess the basic computer skills to successfully participate.

Sessions will be held on Saturdays, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the CVWBC office located at 77806 Flora Road, Suite A in Palm Desert.  They begin on April 1st; continue for three consecutive Saturdays, concluding on April 15th.

The cost for the entire series is only $120 with online registration. To register go to www.cvwbc.org and click on Workshops. For more information call Kim Scanlan at 760.345.9200.

The workshop series is facilitated by Casey Koenke, a bookkeeping consultant and accomplished small business counselor and trainer with a special expertise in QuickBooks. She also holds a BA from CSUSB, with a concentration in Finance.

According to Ms. Koenke – “It’s no secret that one of the biggest causes of small business failure is the owners’ inability to properly set-up and manage their business’s finances and this series solves that.”
