RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The Salute to Veterans Parade Committee recently made the decision to move their annual Veterans Parade from April to November. The committee is beginning the preparations for the November 2017 Salute to Veterans Parade.
To honor veterans this November, the committee is hosting an event to salute all veterans and active duty service personnel. The event, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 12, 2016, will include Veteran oriented organizations and non-profits, plus Riverside County Department of Veterans Services, who are setting up info desks to promote awareness of programs benefitting Veterans, active duty members, and their families.
The Parade Committee will also have a presence to alert the public of the Parade date change, and to seek new participants, supporters and volunteers. At 11:00 a.m. there will be a ceremony to honor veterans. The entire event will conclude at 1:00 p.m. Members of the public are invited to join our community in front of City Hall, at 3900 Main Street, Riverside, CA 92522, to show due respect to those that have served and continue to do so.
