The student-run inaugural event features students, staff and faculty
Redlands, California — Students at the University of Redlands have organized the institution’s first TEDx event on Saturday, March 23 in the Frederick Loewe Theatre at the University of Redlands main campus. The event is presented in two sessions, 11a.m. – 1p.m. and 2 – 4 p.m. Tickets are required for each session, $3 for students and $5 for the general public, available online at www.redlands.edu/events/tedx. Parking is free, adjacent to the theatre.

TED is a nonprofit organization that began in 1984 as a conference where technology, entertainment and design (TED) converged. The nonprofit is devoted to spreading ideas in the form of short and powerful talks of about 18 minutes or less. TEDx events are independently organized based on the same model.
