CSUSB CYBER SECURITY CENTER HOSTS OPEN HOUSE ON OCT. 13

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The Cyber Security Center at Cal State San Bernardino will host an open house, Friday, Oct. 13, on its various programs for students interested in a career in cybersecurity.

The free event, open to current and prospective students, counselors and faculty, is sponsored by the CSUSB Cyber Security Center and Information Security Club, and will be from 6-8 p.m. at the Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration, room 102. Parking is $6 at the university.

The open house will highlight various programs that include: the Information Security Club’s drone projects, Cyber Patriot, Cyber Squad, Digital Forensics, Intel-analysis, Malware, Raspberry Pi’s, academic projects, scholarships, job programs and so much more! 

There will be a brief introduction by CSUSB faculty, followed up by booths setup by students that will explain in depth some of the projects they are developing on this campus.

The university’s Admissions and Recruitment department will also be on hand to answer questions to prospective students and their families.

Some of the booths include social engineering, drones, ethical hacking, Raspberry Pi’s, scholarship-for-service programs, advising and outreach activities.
