Embrace A Child, Foster a Life – Becoming a Foster Parent Orientation on August 26, 2017

San Bernardino, CA – Embrace Me! is working alongside Child & Family Services of San Bernardino County to Recruit, Train and Support families in becoming Resource Families, formerly known as Foster Adoptive Families.  Our designated city is San Bernardino.  We have only one year to bring to fruition the certification of 20 families.  This is a huge undertaking and we are imploring your help!!!!

The process in becoming a Resource Family can seem overwhelming and invasive, thus we would like to offer incentives and resources to these families for their hard work, transparency and commitment.

 That’s Where YOU Come In!

We are seeking business sponsors that would offer low or no cost services to the children in their care.  This can be from hair styling services, housekeeping services, realty services for those moving to accommodate these children, gift cards to grocery stores, department stores, dining and hotel accommodations for a time of respite – all this to secure sustainability for the parents and children.

We are especially seeking churches and faith based organizations that would join their faith with ours to help in the healing process of these children who have suffered neglect, abuse or abandonment.  Here are some ways Partners in the Faith can support the cause:

• Host a Recruitment Opportunity
• Share a Foster Adoptive Story
• Sponsor a Resource Family
• Mobilize Members to Pray
• Unite in Awareness & Support

We are also collaborating with government officials who have influence over their cities to bring awareness to the need of foster families where children are being removed and often joining foster families far away from their homes, limiting access to parental visits, which negatively impacts their chances of reunification.  Furthermore, they are moved from their schools, churches, friends and community, and everything familiar to them, compounding their loss.

We are in search of people with a heart for children to come to the Orientation on August 26, 2017 in hope of becoming a Foster Parent, a Foster to Adopt Parent or an Adoptive Parent. Here we will assist you in the application process and issue a free Live Scan with each application.
