Inland Empire Election Results

Fontana, Calif. – The City of Fontana Mayor and City Council are accepting applications from residents who are interested in making a difference and serving as members of the Planning Commission and Parks and Community Services Commission. All interested applicants must be 18 years of age or older and live in the incorporated area of the City of Fontana.

The Planning Commission consists of five members of the community appointed by the City Council. The Commission holds regularly scheduled meetings to review development applications and proposals, as well as to make recommendations to the City Council on changes to the Development Code or land use policies for the City. The Parks and Community Services Commission consists of seven members of the community appointed by City Council. One of the seven members will be designated to represent the interests of the City’s Senior Citizen residents. The Commission holds regularly scheduled meetings to provide guidance and delivery of quality facilities programs and services that foster active and healthy lifestyles. The Commission also promotes positive relations and understanding between the Community Services Department, the Public Works Department, the Parks, and Community Services Commission, and all community members. Applications are available on the City of Fontana web page by visiting fontana.org or in the City Clerk’s Office located inside Fontana City Hall. Applications can be dropped off in person at the City Clerk’s Office or delivered to Fontana City Hall, 8353 Sierra Avenue, Fontana, CA. Applications will be accepted until 6 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.
