Randall and Janell Lewis present A Peter White Christmas, coming to town Wednesday, December 18th at 8:00 p.m. World-renowned acoustic guitarist, Peter White, teams up with dynamic saxophonist Euge Groove, top Billboard singer/composer Lindsey Webster, and charismatic musician Vincent Ingala to bring 21st-Century jazz flair to your holiday favorites at the Lewis Family Playhouse.

“As a child my father taught me to play Christmas music on my first instrument, the recorder,” White recalls. “My love for Christmas music has endured throughout the years. I hope this tour will be an opportunity for many smooth jazz fans to enjoy their favorite Christmas songs in a family setting. You know, I might even bring my recorder!” UK born, Peter White first made waves as Al Stewart’s accompanist. During his 20-year partnership, White co-wrote many songs with Stewart, including Top 10 hit, “The Passages” (1978). White began recording his own albums in 1990—five of them charting in the Top 10 U.S. Jazz Albums. Ever in demand, White’s latest album, Groovin, was released in 2016.

A favorite on radio and the international touring circuit for 20 years, prolific saxophonist Euge Groove has garnered a devout following with his irresistible mix of danceable grooves, mind-bending hooks, R&B infused melodies, and inspired solos. Having collaborated with everyone from Tina Turner, Elton John, and Bonnie Raitt to Tower of Power and Aaron Neville, Groove is never short on inspiration. 

Billboard’s Contemporary Jazz Artist of the Year in 2016 and 2017, earthy, captivating Lindsey Webster brings a sultry, soulful atmosphere to beloved holiday standards. “Nothing gets me more in the Christmas spirit than the music!” says Webster. “The moment I start hearing Christmas carols I get that magical feeling that I had when I was a child… Christmas music always gets me right back into the spirit of it all.” Webster’s most current release is Love Inside (2018) on Shanachie Records.

One of the fastest emerging contemporary jazz recording artists in recent history, multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer, Vincent Ingala blasted into the jazz scene in 2010, with his fifth studio album Personal Touch released only last year.  As much of an entertainer as he is a musician, the Yamaha Performing Artist’s fun-loving stage presence, combined with an obvious passion for playing, elevates the crowd to an exciting frenzy! Year after year, contemporary jazz lovers coast-to-coast have packed into halls and arenas to experience this festive concert! Gold Level tickets are $60.00 (General) and $58.00 (Senior/Youth). An intimate 560-seat venue, the Lewis Family Playhouse is the crown jewel of the 89,000-square-foot Victoria Gardens Cultural Center. The complex at 12505 Cultural Center Drive is conveniently located off the I-15 at Foothill Boulevard, as a major anchor of Victoria Gardens. The Box Office is open Monday through Friday from noon to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with free parking available.
