MORENO VALLEY, Calif. – As an employer, it is to your advantage to know your obligations and understand the State payroll reporting requirements. To help new and aspiring business owners, the Inland Empire Small Business Development Center will offer a seminar on California employment tax laws on Wednesday, Dec. 11.

Representatives from the Employment Development Department will discuss topics such as:

• Factors that make a worker an employee
• Basics of statutory employment
• Independent contractor reporting requirements

This seminar will be held from 9 a.m. – noon at the Moreno Valley Conference Center, 14075 Frederick Street, Alessandro Room A, in Moreno Valley. This free seminar is sponsored by the City of Moreno Valley.
