RIVERSIDE, CA – The University of California, Riverside, Department of Music presents the Highlander Concert Band and UCR Jazz Ensemble, conducted by Bill Helms. Two Suites are featured for the UCR Highlander Band: First Suite for Military by Gustav Holst and Suite of Old American Dances by Robert Russell Bennett.  The UCR Jazz Ensemble follows with Joe Henderson’s Recorda Me and Bronilau Kaper’s Invitation.  The Jazz Ensemble will be joined by pianist Larry Flahive, guitarist Bob Scarano, drummer BobDominguez, bassist Matt Wyckoff, and by former student members Tony White and John Ehlis.
