“Returning to Sin City” Brings the Las Vegas Strip to the Candlelight Stage

CLAREMONT, CA— Enjoy the tunes of the coolest cats of all time! Watch as the Candlelight Pavilion is transformed once again into a Las Vegas showroom, and sit back and enjoy your favorite Candlelight performers singing the music of the ’50s and ’60s complete with showgirls and a live Big Band. It’s guaranteed to be an evening in which you’ll tap your toes, sing along and be transported back in time to an era of days gone by.

In 2007, the Candlelight Pavilion produced Sin City Five, in which five Candlelight Pavilion veterans performed to the music of the Rat Pack accompanied by a live Big Band, and brought audiences to a Las Vegas showroom complete with a roulette table in which patrons could play to win prizes. The production played to Sold Out houses with audiences praising the show!

Five years later, the Candlelight Pavilion is now producing Returning to Sin City under the Direction and Musical Direction of Douglas Austin and Choreographer John Vaughan. Vocalists include John LaLonde (Man of La Mancha, The Drowsy Chaperone), Randy Hilton (Fiddler on the Roof), Vonetta Mixson (All Shook Up, Dream Girls), Desmond Clark (Singin’ in the Rain), and introducing Sergio Vellatti. Dancers include Sue Murray, Jessie Parmelee and Colleen Torres, with Comedian John Lynd, and Magician Robert Ramirez. The live 14 piece Big Band is directed by Alan Waddington, with Pianists Eric Belvin and ChrisWells, Trumpets: Richard Carey, Gino Munoz, and Michelle Lane, Trombones: Julius Lopez, Armando Duenas, and Daniel Doniza, Woodwinds: Daniel Silva, David Catalan, Michael Birnbryer, and Nathaniel Jorge, with Bass: Brandon Shaw.
