CVWBC and Citi Bank Announce Applications Available for “It’s Your Time” Program; Deadline for Submission Aug 16
Palm Desert, California. – The Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center (CVWBC) has begun accepting applications for Citi bank’s “It’s Your Time: An Entrepreneurial Training Series for Women”, a program for women wanting to start a business. The program will begin with an orientation on August 21, 2013, and will continue through December of 2013. The deadline for applications is August 16, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. Applications can be downloaded from the CVWBC website at www.cvwbc.org and mailed to our office at 77-806 Flora Road, Suite A in Palm Desert. Participants will attend an intense series of ten workshops on subjects ranging from “The ABC’s of Starting a Business”, “MAXIMUM IMPACT” business plan writing series, in addition to a selection of business-related electives, and will work individually with a business counselor throughout the duration of the program. This series is geared to provide the women of the Coachella Valley with a strong foundation on which to build thriving, sustainable businesses, the cornerstone of CVWBC’s mission.
The “It’s Your Time” collaboration between CVWBC and Citi Bank has flourished in the Coachella Valley for more than five years, producing more than 50 businesses started, 105 jobs created, and this year alone yielded 32 business plans.
The CVWBC is a program of the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship (IECE) at California State University San Bernardino in partnership with U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
The Center provides training, mentoring, networking, and free business counseling, designed for entrepreneurs, women in business or who want to start a business. The programs and services provided are targeted to a diverse range of skill levels to meet client needs, providing services both in English and Spanish.
