California Baptist University to open Psychological Services of Riverside
WHAT: California Baptist University will host an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the opening of Psychological Services of Riverside. The site will offer psychological counseling, assessment and consultation services to residents of Riverside and nearby communities, while seeking to support underserved populations in the area. The clinic will offer services such as individual, child, family, couples and group therapy; psychoeducation; psychological assessment; and consultation.
WHEN and WHERE: The event will be at 5 p.m. on Sept. 25, 2019 at the Psychological Services of Riverside, 2900 Adams St., Suite C-10, Riverside, CA 92504.
WHO: The ceremony will feature remarks by Dr. Ronald L. Ellis, president of California Baptist University; Dr. Charles Sands, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Jacqueline Gustafson, dean of the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences. After the ceremony, the clinic will hold an open house.
WHY: The mission of Psychological Services of Riverside is to assist members of the community to live out the values that are most important to them. The site will also provide training experience for students in the Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology program within the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences. These students will be supervised by licensed psychologists who also provide services at Psychological Services of Riverside.
