Fontana – 2017 Veterans Day Ceremony
Fontana, Calif.– The City of Fontana invites the community to honor veterans during the Veterans Day Ceremony on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. The ceremony will take place at the Fontana Memorial Rose Garden located at 16830 Spring Street.
Residents are encouraged to come pay their respect and gratitude to the brave men and women that dedicated themselves to serving our country and protecting our freedom. The ceremony will feature:
- Presentation of Colors by Fontana High School Jr. R.O.T.C.
- National Anthem
- Patriotic songs by Kaiser High School Band
- Guest speakers including VFW Past Commander and a Blue Star Mother
The event will also showcase the winning entries of the Dr. Charles Koehler’s Veterans Day Writing & Art Contest.
Upon the conclusion of the ceremony, community members are invited to attend a reception hosted by American Legion, Post 772 taking place at 16767 Spring Street.
