According to a Claritas report (registration required), in the United States today, there are 131 million multicultural Americans, making up 37.5% of the U.S. population, with Hispanics accounting for the largest portion at 19.6%.
Minority groups now represent the majority of the population in more than 400 U.S. counties. There can be no doubt that America is becoming multicultural and that Hispanics are a significant part of this change.
Although some brands are starting to face the facts, there is still a long way to go before advertisers understand the U.S. Hispanic market and unlock its potential.

William (Billy) Smith
William (Billy) Smith is the Local Sales Manager with the Spectrum Reach office here in the Inland Empire. He has earned numerous advertising awards and certifications for his accomplishments over his 17-year career in media. He began his career in Radio as an Account Executive with American General Media before transitioning into management as the Marketing Director with IHEART Media in Bakersfield, Ca. In early 2015 he was offered his first opportunity into television management with KERO ABC -23 as their Local Sales Manager from which he served as their sales leader until January 2018 when he began his current role with Spectrum Reach. He has two beautiful daughters (12 and 10) that he enjoys shopping with very frequently and he also enjoys playing golf and piano in his free time. He is very excited today to discuss the Spectrum Reach Universe and every changing media ecosystem that we live and work in every day.

Iliana Burgin is an Account Executive for Spectrum Reach skilled in Television and Digital Media Advertising. She has several years of experience working with local clients in the Inland Empire and the Los Angeles DMA. She has worked with many different industries including Retail, Home Improvement, Finance, Healthcare, Education, Auto, Entertainment, and Real Estate. She is fluent in Spanish and has experience working with clients targeting the Hispanic market. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling the world!”
