RIVERSIDE – From eating at restaurants to driving on safe roads to taking out the trash, Riverside County residents benefit every day from public works projects. To celebrate how the County of Riverside invests in public works that improve quality of life in Riverside County, residents are invited to the county’s first-ever Public Works Day.
“The protection offered by county public works allows our community members to go about their lives safer,” said County Executive Officer George Johnson. “These are critical public works infrastructure projects, programs and services that we all rely on.”
WHEN: Tuesday, May 21st, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. A proclamation by the Board of Supervisors will take place at 9 a.m. during the regularly scheduled Board Meeting.
WHERE: County Administrative Center located at 4080 Lemon St, Riverside, CA 92501. Free parking for visitors is available in the parking lot in front of the building.
WHO: Riverside County public works departments and partner agencies will showcase improvement projects, highlight services, as well as demonstrate heavy equipment and work vehicles. The Human Resources Department will also be onsite for any community members interested in making public works and the County of Riverside their employer of choice. The event is free.
