Colton, CA 92324
During the 15-20 minute tour, visitors will get a front row seat to see how recycled crumb rubber is manufactured into sports flooring and acoustical underlayment by skilled workers. Most importantly, visitors will leave learning what responsible manufacturing looks like and how it creates bottom line value for people, the planet and stakeholder prosperity.
U.S. Rubber is California’s largest user of recycled crumb rubber. We manufacture premium sports flooring and acoustical underlayment at our Colton, CA factory. In 2018, we diverted 6,480,459 pounds of rubber tires away from California landfills and into a feedstream to produce Survivor™ SportFloor and QuietSound™ Acoustical Underlayment. Survivor™ SportFloor is the worldwide competitive flooring choice for chain clubs, private clubs, professional sports teams, colleges and the U.S. military. QuietSound™ Acoustical Underlayment provides optimal sound abatement for foot traffic and other interior noises that typically occur in commercial and residential, multi-story buildings.
The primary raw material for Survivor™ SportFloor is post-consumer recycled crumb rubber, which is a derivative of discarded tires from California landfills. QuietSound™ Acoustical Underlayment’s primary raw material is post-industrial recycled trim from U.S. Rubber Recycling’s manufacturing stream. Just over a third of U.S. Rubber’s workforce are ex-felons who have a passion for their jobs and are now living a productive, crime-free life.
