SBVEZ Uploads Tutorial Videos to Educate Local Business About Expiring Tax Credits
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (Dec. 16, 2013) –To provide local businesses extra help in utilizing enterprise zone tax credits as the program winds down, the San Bernardino Valley Enterprise Zone (SBVEZ) has posted three educational video tutorials to the website. Those interested can visit www.sbvez.com to watch the videos.
Two of the videos provide detailed information about the Hiring Tax Credit and the Sales & Use Tax Credit, including how the credits work, their monetary benefit, the qualifying criteria and how to file for them. The third video provides viewers step-by-step instruction on how to use the SBVEZ’s online vouchering system to file the hiring tax credit for each of their qualifying employees.
The California Enterprise Zone program is set to expire on December 31, 2013. The SBVEZ is encouraging all San Bernardino and Colton businesses that have or are partaking in any hiring or capital investment activities to find out if they qualify. Any qualified new hires or taxes paid on certain equipment purchases made between October 2006 and December 31, 2013 may be eligible for SBVEZ credits. Businesses then have until December 31, 2014 to file the credit with the state.
