Trade expert educates Inland Empire companies about international business opportunities
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (Sept. 12, 2011) — The City of San Bernardino, Economic Development Agency, Office of Business Development will host a workshop focusing on international opportunities for small businesses from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 15. The workshop will be held at the Office of Business Development, 201-B N. E Street, Suite 200, in San Bernardino.
The workshop will be taught by Al Elgendy, who has worked as an international business consultant for the U.S. Department of Commerce, the Small Business Administration and several Small Business Development Centers.
The seminar will discuss ways local companies can sell their products in the global marketplace, according to Lori Tillery, economic development manager.
“Most companies are unaware of the billions of dollars that are available in international trade opportunities,” Tillery said. “The Internet has made international communication and trade much easier and faster. Nowadays companies need to look at selling to customers beyond their local boundaries. There are consumers from around the world who want their products.”
Registration for this workshop is $10. For more information call 909.963.5026 or email rsvp@sbbizresource.com.
