2013 Riverside Neighborhood Conference: Creating the Neighborhood of Your Dreams
RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The City of Riverside and the Riverside Neighborhood Partnership have joined together to host the 2013 Riverside Neighborhood Conference on Saturday, Oct. 19th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Riverside City College in the Quad Courtyard.
This free, family-fun event will provide Riverside residents with workshops, interactive neighborhood engagement, access to local neighborhood groups and the opportunity to network with city departments and community resources to promote neighborhood livability.
This year’s conference will present informative workshops that feature community building and neighborhood sustainability as well as emergency preparedness and healthy living. The three tracks will be focused on Safe Communities, Healthy Communities and Neighborhood Organizing.
The event will have over 25 exhibit booths sponsored by local community groups, service agencies and City departments plus a community design project with creative regional Planner and founder of Place It!, James Rojas. The conference will also include live entertainment and interactive activities.
The monthly Walk with the Mayor will be held at 8 a.m. at the same location in support of the conference followed by opening remarks from Mayor Rusty Bailey.
The conference is free for all community members.
