“Parade of Talent”

Fontana, California – The Mayor and City Council invite the public to attend the 4^th Annual Senior Talent Showcase at the Lewis Library & Technology Center Steelworkers’ Auditorium. This year’s theme is “Parade of Talent.”

The Center is looking for all singers, dancers, hypnotists, performers of any kind to sign up for the annual Senior Talent Show, a non-competitive talent showcase for adults 55 and older. Applications are due no later than Friday September 10. Auditions will be held Wednesday September 15 at 1pm and a mandatory dress rehearsal will follow on Wednesday September 22 at 1pm. Final acts are determined by a selection committee.

The finals acts will perform from 1:00 pm to 3:00pm on Saturday, September 25, 2010. The event will be held at the Steelworkers’ Auditorium at 8437 Sierra Avenue in Fontana.

Last year’s Talent Showcase hosted 18 performers with over 300 attendees. Community Services Supervisor, Michael Wright stated, “The show is always a great time for the whole community and the entertainment stimulates laughter and cheer.” From salsa dancing to baton twirling, each talent show is unique with new acts every year.
